Mrs. Usha Dwivedi has been an academician for around 40 years and is our guide in our journey. She has made her contributions as a teacher, as an administrator, as a part of the curriculum committee in NCERT, as a resource person for training the teachers at a national level, applying new thoughts to education are just a few bullets in her endless list of work.
She has received many departmental awards and is a recipient of the prestigious President’s Award in 2013 for her exemplary contributions to primary education. It is an honour for us to get the insights and guidance from her on the changing face of education in the current times.
Anuradha Dasgupta is a post graduate in English literature and is trained in early child education. She has over two decades of teaching experience in schools in India and in the US. Has also been the Principal of the Nursery School, IIT Chennai. Her philosophy of teaching is that learning needs to be student centered and that students need to be equal partners in the learning process.
Currently Anuradha is the Principal of KidStreet.
Anuradha is a very creative person and very hands-on on early childhood education. She personally bonds with every child in the school.
Shereen Idiculla is a Speech and Language Therapist who has been working for over 12 years with children with special needs. She finished her Bachelors and Masters from the All India Institute of Speech and Hearing in Mysore, worked in Singapore for over 2 years and then started work in Bangalore in 2009. She has worked with Head Start Montessori School, F.A.M.E India and is now the Clinical Director and Trustee of PlayStreet Specially Abled Educare Trust.
Shereen is a Hanen Certified Speech and Language Therapist for the More Than Words® and It Takes Two To Talk® Programs and has been trained on PECS, PROMPT Technique, Brain Gym and Oral Placement Therapy (Levels 1-3). She is currently the only therapist in India who has completed her Level 3 certification training in Oral Placement Therapy.
She has co-developed an AAC program called the PlayTalk Program that is used with the AAC software, PlayTalk, developed by PlayStreet. She has also helped in the development of an online tool called Goal Track to track and measure the progress of clients in various areas of development, making it easier to create assessment reports, individualized education plans and progress reports for any client.
Born into a family of educators, she has a natural inclination for education. She left a highly successful career in the IT industry to pursue her interest in education. For her education has a very broad definition where she focuses on education of typically developing children as well as children with special needs. She has been involved in "People Science Movement" throughout her childhood with Eklavya - a NGO working towards Meaningful education for all to build an egalitarian and just society on the path of sustainable development.
Currently she is a RDI consultant-in-training. The corner stones of her practice are providing the programs for connecting the children in the Autism spectrum to their environment using naturalistic and relationship based methods.
She set up Playstreet as a resource center for children with Autism and other developmental difficulties in 2012. The center was setup to give all the required services under one roof. She created the difference in the Autism services by adding the play and interaction as the focal point of all the conventional therapies and moved them from being mechanical and table top based methods to more exploration based. The core area of her work also lies in preparing the community for meaningful inclusion.
Being a software engineer, she is a part of a team of passionate people developing the technical tools and software for facilitating learning in children with unique learning styles.
She is a co-developer of the comprehensive solution called PlayTalk- an alternative and augmentative communication software for Android Platform.
